My Ameliorations

My week has flown by. We did really well sticking to our schedule for school. We had the afternoons free to do yard work, read, and garden. It was great! Having said that I'm not adding any new habits this week. I'm going to work on maintaining the ones I've listed below. And I'm going to modify my current goal of sticking to a school schedule. I need to plan better on working with the younger ones before helping the older girls with their school work. It seems if I help the older girls first the littler ones have lost interest and it's hard to refocus their attention from play to school.

Habit 5 Stick to a school schedule
Habit 4 Tickle the Ivory
Habit 3 Clean as I go - becoming a habit!
Habit 2 Use positive reinforcement with my children- habit
Habit 1 Exercise for 30 minutes every day - works better if I can do it first thing in the morning.

That sounds like an effective plan! I am really loving our new schedule even though it's not a habit yet.

I am also adding nothing new this week because I really want to conquer what I already have on my plate!

I need to make sure I have a summer schedule for when Keri gets out of school. Thanks for the reminder :) !!

I am still trying to figure out how to school the younger ones with the older one. Perhaps I will try that! thanks for the idea. Good luck this week!

I'm new to SHS. I like that you label your habits "habits" instead of by the week. I'm going to go back and edit my post. I think counting the habits would be more encouraging than counting the weeks. I wish you well in cementing your habits this week.

Schedules of any sort are always a challenge for me. That's great you have found one that works! Hopefully things will continue to go well!

Seems like everything you have for a habit are all things I need to work on too!

Good luck this week with maintaining and revising!

Good luck this week! It's nice to just focus on what we're already trying to do instead of trying to add a new goal. Sounds like you're doing pretty well!

I'm glad this week went well for you. Hope you are able to modify the school schedule to work better for you and continue to make progress.
