Faster Internet

Woohoo! We've got DSL now. Out here in the desert we are now more technologically advanced than the people in town. Why you ask? We have a different telephone company who decided to invest in fiber optic cables. We were talking to Steve, the telephone man, who was here today checking all the wires and he stated some interesting facts. He had to drive a four-wheeler all around inspecting the 565,000 miles of cable, saw some beautiful scenery, and was paid for it. He also started working for the company ten years ago when most of the customers were on 8-party lines. From 8-party lines to DSL, not bad!

YES! Put that fiber in, please. And if they need someone to monitor it, they can call my dh.

Isn't faster internet the best? You will never go back.

I've had it for a day and can't believe we've survived this long without it.

I must have been talking to the wrong townies. So sorry to classify you with those of slower means Jen. I was wondering how you found time to post all the pics of you're kiddos and such with dial-up. Now I understand! :D

ROFL...finding time to do anything is a completely different story, town or country. Please let me know if you have a solution!

Montse,
I love seeing pictures of your family! The new baby is deliciously cute! You'll have to come to Moab and we'll take you all river running and hiking.

Montse,
How did you post your picture on your profile page? Now that you have DSL, I want to see more pictures--Brian and I loved the shooting pictures with all the girls!

Alina,
I tried to post the web address that has the instructions for adding a photo to your profile, but it was too long and got cut off. Just go to the help section of Blogger, click on Profiles under Blogger Basics, and the first question they answer is how to add a photo. Hope that helps!
