Junior Duck Stamp Contest Results

We received the results of the duck contest today. The girls did really well! This is how the pictures are judged. First the entries are judged according to age group: K-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 grades. Each group has three 1st place, three 2nd place, three 3rd place, and 16 Honorable mention winners. The 1st place winners from each age group are then judged together to determine the Best of Show.

Sara and Abby were in the K-3 group which had a total of 178 entries. Sara won 2nd place! Abby was one of the 153 who didn't win anything, but she was so excited to get a certificate and her own duck stamp. We are so pleased with her work and her great attitude.

Eve and Marie were in the 4-6 grade group which had 129 entries. Eve won 1st place! Marie received an honorable mention. They were both very pleased as well, especially with the stuffed ducks they received as prizes. When you push on the ducks they 'quack' an authentic duck call.
