Christmas Day! We opened all our presents before church since it didn't start until 11am.
All the girls received new dresses from Grandma and Grandpa V. Laura wouldn't cooperate. Her dress matched little Debbie's dress.
The Ventura tradition is to make homemade ravioli for lunch on Christmas Day. Grandpa served his mission to Italy and we have done this ever since. It was so delicious! Too bad I forgot to take pictures of the whole process. Maybe next year.

Avi & Yaya (Grandpa Ventura's parents) came over in the afternoon with Kim (GV's sister). We then had a talent show. The girls each played the piano and also sang the Shephard's Carol. Jon (my brother) played the piano. He puts me to shame! Pere (my other brother) and Grandpa V played the guitar. Vanessa, Rebecca (my sisters) and I sang Mary's Lullaby. And then the best part of the evening was when Avi sang. Avi is from Barcelona, Spain. He used to sing in night clubs when he was a young man. I haven't heard him sing since I was a very little girl. It was wonderful! He sang the traditional Catalonian Christmas carol Fum, Fum, Fum (you've probably heard the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing it) and an other song I can't remember the title too. Sorry Avi! BTW, Avi and Yaya mean Grandfather and Grandmother in the Catalan language.

It was a very happy Christmas day.

Do you have Spanish Catalonian roots? My father-in-law is from French Catalonia.
