I had an ultrasound on Friday mostly because the doctor wanted to check the growth of the baby. He was concerned that my stomach was measuring a full 2 cm smaller than it should be. The baby is actually a half week bigger than what my due date says so, I guess I "must have strong stomach muscles" according to the technician. Why can't I have strong, lean stomach muscles when I'm not pregnant? :) Any way, the technician tried to see what the baby was and. . . . . they couldn't tell. The baby's hand was covering up all the distinguishable parts. So I guess we have to wait 12 more weeks until the baby is born to find out the old-fashioned way. Sure makes choosing a name more difficult. Agonizing over both boys' and girls' names is not my husband's idea of fun.

congratulations. what a compliment to be told that you have tight stomach muscles while you're pregnant. good luck on the name calling. i'm excited for you all.
name calling, LOL. i mean naming.
OH Motts I'm sorry! We've been wondering what you're having too. BTW I'm laying claims to Jedidiah and Gabriella. Whenever we have another one those are my names. hee hee!!! Actually I know you like Jed so if you need it I'll let you use it. You're due in 12 weeks!? Schnikies!
Yes, I do love the name Jed but can't seem to get Joseph excited about it. I also like Ira. He did agree to let me name the baby Grace if it's a girl.
Congratulations, Montse! I didn't know you were expecting until just now. :-) How awesome for you!

Hee hee. I think I've got Kev somewhere in the vicinity to consider it for future use. I think a lot of it is how cool would Jed Knight be? Seriously Jedi..... hee hee!
ok I am soooo just kidding with the whole jedi thing. fyi
Name calling, lol.
Montse-my friend had a 3-D u/s done in Reno, and they could tell the gender even with something in the way, because of the temperature of the area. It was a place that only does elective ultrasounds, so you have to pay out of pocket.
3-D ultrasounds would be so neat I think. Unfortunately I'm not that obsessed with knowing what it is before its born. I do like to have surprises!
My girl name is Meredith. Do your daughters want a girl or boy?
For a boy how about "Theodore," meaning "gift of God?"
"Hugh" means "bright of mind and spirit."
"Charles" means "strong man."
"Henry" means "ruler of the home."
Those are ones I like, though I have to admit my husband is not thrilled about those. Well, he does like "Charles" o.k.
Not that we will even use those names except for a pet, maybe. :-)
I was looking through the baby name book last night and found that "Bond" means farmer. Joseph does like the name Henry.
henry is my husband's middl name. in french it sounds really nice. it's pronounced without the h (en-ree)
