We had stormy weather a couple of days ago. Here's a pictures of the mountains 'The Bloody Runs' just east of our house as the clouds were rolling in. The valley we live in is only about 5 miles wide. 'The Bloody Runs' are on the east and 'The Slumbering Hills' are to the west.

Athena, I thoroughly enjoyed reading My Antonia. I have come to really love the farming/ranching lifestyle with all it's ups and downs.
I love the picture, but the name of those mountains kinda throws me.
Oh, you should hear some of the guesses as to why the Bloody Runs are the Bloody Runs! From a mountain man having a bad case of diarrhea to some sort of Indian/Cowboy massacre.
Oh gosh, I knew it!
