Can you teach an old dog new tricks?

Is it Saturday already? Uh oh!

Where has the time gone?
I don't even know.

"It is pleasant
to know that, even in mature life,it is possible by a little persistent effort to acquire a desirable habit. It is good, if not pleasant, to know, also, with what fatal ease we can slip into bad habits." ~Charlotte Mason~

Which means, if you haven't guessed yet, I didn't do very well with a couple of my habits this week. I only played the piano twice and I exercised zilch! Unless you can count dragging a loaded cart clear across Super Wal-Mart at least three
times because you can't remember
where they've moved things too as exercise.

Lest I dig myself a deeper hole of despair I
shall not try any new habits this week but shall
try to improve and maintain the ones I am
already trying to work on.

Habit 4 Tickle the Ivory
Habit 3 Clean as I go - becoming a habit!
Habit 2 Use positive reinforcement with my children- habit
Habit 1 Exercise for 30 minutes every day- works better when
I do it first thing in the morning.

I can do this.

Hey, good luck on your goals for this week. I'd say the Wal-Mart cart pushing counts but I also count the 349,209 times I go up & down my stairs each day. You have got some cute kids and I like the photos of them. That accident soundbite was pretty funny, I could totally picture what was happening, glad everyone was okay - well except maybe the guy. Ouch.

At least we are moving in the right direction. And I count pushing the shopping cart as exercise - why not?

I hope you have a better week with your habits. You deserve to take time for you!

Have I told you lately how much I love your blog design? And great quote too!

We all need to give ourselves a break sometimes! With 7 children I don't know how you get anything done, much less homeschool them!
