Eve's Ride

Our neighbors (2 1/2 miles away) have been on vacation for the past week and they asked if Eve could take care of their animals while they were gone. The first day they left, Joseph took Eve over in the morning and evening. The next day he brought this POJ (piece-of-junk) truck down for her to drive. He didn't like having to wait the 45 minutes for her to do the chores. :D They have 3 cats, 1 dog, and chickens. She's quite enjoyed the freedom of driving the truck by herself. (What 11 year old wouldn't?) Each of her sisters have taken turns going with her and helping her. I think it's been good for all of them. They come back laughing and giggling about what the animals did or who slipped in the snow, etc. The POJ is a standard (clutch) and Eve has learned how to drive it much better than I did way back when.

Congrats to Eve! I'll think of her next time I'm clunking & chugging up the street in DH's truck and the UPS guy passes out from laughing so hard at my clutch-struggles.
